Specimen: 1 mL of lithium heparin plasma
Transport Temperature: Refrigerate
Collection Instructions: Spin down immediately after draw.
Note: 1. Indicate plasma on request form.
2. Label specimens appropriately (plasma).
Serum
Container/Tube: Gold-top tube(s)
Specimen: 1 mL of serum
Transport Temperature: Refrigerate
Collection Instructions: Spin down immediately after draw. If red blood cells remain above the gel layer, transfer to a plastic vial.
