Clinical Info

Hepatitis E causes an acute, self-limiting infection. Antibody IgG is detected after Antibody IgM is detected, typically 1 month post-infection. 
Antibody IgM is detected 1-4 weeks post-infection. This is the preferred test for diagnosing Hepatitis E infection.
