Physician Office Specimen Requirements

Container/Tube: 24 Hour Urine container

Specimen: Submit an entire 24-hour urine collection. Add 10 gm Boric Acid or 25 mL Acetic Acid to container before collection.  Refrigerate specimen during collection. 20 mL aliquot of 24 hr Urine (10 mL min)

Transport Tempurature:  Refrigerated in a plastic urine container

 

Note:  Starting and ending times of collection are required on request form for processing.
